These past two days, I've been walking the streets of my favorite city, New York. I went with the three of my friends- it was a short trip, but amazing! Even though it's definitely not my first time in New York, we still did a lot of tourist. It was my first time going on a vacation without parents, so I was able to see everything with new eyes. I was actively posting all my adventures through Instagram follow me for updates @emmastyleguide.
I titled this post "Travel Diaries" because I'm hoping to at least do a bit of traveling this summer, so I captioned each photo with it's own blurb- everything is in chronological order.
First stop first was food! Our bus arrived late in the afternoon, so we were all starving as soon as we hopped off the bus. We checked into the hotel and then headed out to find a place to eat. As we were walking we found a Thai place where I got some pad thai.
Up the street from the thai place was the M&M factory-I can't resist chocolate! I always love the rainbow wall- I picked my own and went with all the pastels.
Maybe one of the most magical places in Times Square; the Disney store. I just really liked the ceiling decorations. Maybe I'll recreate them for my own room!
We ordered out at Shake Shack and brought it back to the hotel to rest for a bit before going back out.
Yes, I rode the ferris wheel in Toys R Us! Maybe I had a little too much fun in the ride, but how could I not?
Started off the next morning with a walk to Culture Espresso and getting a chocolate croissant and flat white coffee.
Delicious looking up close picture of the flat white that I slurped down, I love the artwork!
We walked to Bryant Park after to check it out, it was empty in the early AM, but breathtaking.  I'm glad everything has bloomed, and everything was so green.
We took the subway down to Little Italy, so much food!
We got hungry on our walk and stopped by a crepe cart for a quick bite.
After a fairly long walk we finally made it to the 9/11 memorial. It was my first time seeing it, and it was beautiful. There were so many people there I couldn't take my eyes off the water.
After getting off the subway back to 40th street, all we could think about was food. We found a little store with a whole food styled to-go buffet. I tried to eat healthier after eating out so much. The fruit and sushi was delicious!
We went back to Bryant Park to eat lunch- it was crowded with other people eating outdoors just like us!
Beautiful restaurant in Bryant park- I loved the ivy up the walls and the roof seating.
Checked out Rockefeller Plaza quickly on our way back to times square. I thought the fountains with the hydrangeas were gorgeous.
The last picture I took before leaving new york- we were outside of the Apple store, nearby Central Park. We needed to sit down again from all the walking!

It was only 32 hours, but it taught me how to navigate through the big city and be more independent. I'd love to go again soon because it was such a fun experience.
