I'm getting really into skirts again lately and I don't think I've said that since middle school. And I guess this might not be the best time to be wanting to wear skirts since this week has been straight in the 30s and 40s. But, on the brighter side they are all on sale now :)

It is so unlike me to want a pencil skirt. I am all about my jeans! But I like the polish look that skirts give off, especially solid ones with slight detail like this. I talked about this a bit in my last post, but I'm really trying to build I'm my "office appropriate" wardrobe and this made me think of just that!
I wore it to class, and got a lot of comments on how dressy it was and if I had an interview or something, but that's college for you. I know a handful of friends who genuinely dress well on a daily basis, but I really like changing it up because I feel like I'm at my best when I dress my best. Do any of you feel that way too?
Sorry I was so late on posting this, I've got a couple more posts in the works that I have to edit first (including a little Chicago tour guide) but I promise they will be out soon!

  3. I love this look! I so feel you on other students asking why you're dressed up. By now, most of my friends are used to me dressing nicely, but occasionally there are still questions about why I'm wearing X and do I have a date or interview later... Nah, I just feel my best when I look my best! Totally relate to that. Love this post and have followed you on insta!
